Celebration of Debbie’s Life Service is 1:00 P.M. Saturday June 3, 2017 at Pulliam Funeral Home Oblong, IL. Burial will follow in the Hardinville Cemetery.

Debbie L. Sheridan Stephens, 59, of Robinson, IL formerly of Willow Hill, IL passed away on May 30, 2017 at Union Hospital in Terre Haute, IN.

Debbie was born on March 12, 1958 in Robinson, IL to Victor and Patricia (Meeks) Kingery. On December 12, 2015 she married William “Bill” Stephens who survives.

Debbie had worked for E.R. Moore and United Technologies (UTI) in Newton, IL. She had also been a bus driver for Oblong Community Unit 4 and was a cleaning lady for many people along with caring for elderly in their homes.

Debbie was a member of the First Christian Church of Oblong. She had also attended Berlin Church and the Oblong Wesleyan Church. She was a member of the Oblong High School Class of 1976. Debbie was one of eight grade school graduates from Hardinville Grade School where she was also a cheerleader. Debbie was very involved in the churches she attended. She was also active with the Crawford County Coon Club. Debbie enjoyed the time she spent with family, going to kids programs and softball games. Debbie had been a host mother for several foreign exchange students throughout the years and had been a volunteer placement coordinator for EF foreign exchange program.

Debbie is survived by her husband Bill Stephens, Robinson, IL; two daughters and a son-in-law Jessica (Sheridan) and Nick Babare, Chico, CA, Jennifer Sheridan, Oblong, IL; three step children Teresa Shepard & Jim, Eric Stephens and James Stephens all of Terre Haute, IN; one granddaughter Olivia Gonzalez, Oblong, IL; eight step grandchildren Lacey Mott, Codey Pastorus, Brittney Shepard, Hallie Stephens, Courtney Stephens and Kylie Stephens all of Terre Haute, IN, Shane Stephens Springfield, IL and Carlton Stephens, Monmouth, IL. Debbie is also survived by many beloved nieces, nephews and cousins, two special friends Connie Colwell and Sandra Veach, and mother-in-law Betty Stephens.

Debbie was preceded in death by her parents and one brother Greg Kingery.
